Germany, officially known as Federal Republic of Germany is a European country. It is divided into 16 states, and it is the most populated European country after Russia and 16th most populated country in the world.

Germany lies in the center of Europe. The bordering countries are Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France , Luxemburg, Belgium and the Netherlands (clockwise from the top/North).

The city of Berlin has the largest railway station in the world.

There are nearly seven hundred zoological gardens, bird parks, animal reserves, wildlife parks. This includes 414 registered zoos. This count is more than that of the United States. The Zoologischer Garten has 1500 species and 14000 as its animal population, making it the largest in these terms. It is located in Berlin.
